Tape Chart

The Tape Chart offers a real-time calendar view of reservations on a given date. The visual representation of reservations makes it easy to block the house and fill holes for specific room types when inventory is tight. Users can assign rooms, make modifications, and rearrange reservations directly from the Tape Chart.

Auto assign rooms for the displayed results

You can automatically assign room numbers to rooms using auto-assign. This is useful when blocking the house for the day. Navigate to Front Office → Tape Chart. 

1. Select Reservations to view guest reservations.

2. Select the vertical ellipses icon to filter the reservations that are displayed. Reservations can be filtered by:

• Unassigned Reservations

• All Reservations

• Start Date

• Room Type

3. Click Auto-Assign.

4. Click Select All to select all the displayed reservations.

5. Select Assign to save selected assigned room.

View room details

Select a room to view room details.

View reservation details

Click on a reservation on the tape chart to view details in the Reservation Information window. Click View Reservation to be taken to the Guest Stay Record.

Select Filter to use additional filters to display desired view of the tape chart.

• From Room

• To Room

Tape chart field definitions

Field	Description
Unassigned Reservations	Reservations that do not have a room assigned.
All Reservations	Shows all reservations that are due in on the given day.
Room Type	Filters results by the specified room type (s).
Room Status	The housekeeping status of the room.
Specific Rooms	Check the box beside all rooms you wish to view.
From Room/ To Room	Shows a given range of rooms.
Connecting Rooms	Connecting rooms are side-by-side with a connecting door in between.
