SynXis Property Hub allows routing to be established at any time during the guest’s journey prior to check-out. Routing is established on a source reservation (the reservation that the charges are being routed from) by searching for a target (where the charges are being sent to). There are three types of accounts that can be targets for charges: Guest Reservations, Groups, and House Accounts.
Once routing has been established, it can also be modified at any time by accessing the folio for the source reservation and clicking Modify Routing. Routing can then be removed or additional routing added.
One source reservation may have routing to multiple targets. For example, room and tax for Jane Doe are being paid for by John Smith, and food and beverage are being paid for by George Washington.
The type of account selection is not available when adding routing from a new or walk in reservation.
Enter the target information. Information to search on includes:
Last name
First name
Phone number
Email address
Itinerary number
Confirmation number
Room number
Room type
Loyalty number
Selected dates
Result can be narrowed by selecting:
Arrivals
Pre-arrivals
In House
Click Search for a list of results.
Select the Target Reservation from the list.
Specify the charges that should be routed and click Add Routing.
A success message indicates the routing is confirmed. An error message requires corrections and a re-submission. No routing is in place.
Close the screen to return to the reservation. A successful routing message also is displayed on the Guest Stay Record.
There are a few guidelines in place to prevent routing in certain circumstances:
SynXis Property Hub does not allow circular or chain routing. A reservation cannot be a target reservation and a source reservation at the same time.
The source reservation’s stay dates must fall within the stay date of the target reservation for routing to execute as configured. SynXis Property Hub will allow the source's stay dates to be changed but will display a warning message informing the agent that they will need to go back an amend the routing setup.
A source reservation cannot be checked in before the target reservation is checked in. If it is required to check the source reservation in before the target, the routing must first be removed, and then reestablished once the target has checked in.
Any charges posted to the source reservation prior to the source or the target reservation’s check in will remain in the source folio, even once both reservations are checked in.
A target reservation cannot check out or undo a check-in when there is a source reservation in house.
A target reservation cannot be canceled when a source reservation exists. The source reservation must first be cancelled or the routing removed.
