Payment Interface

Use to establish and/or modify the configuration settings for the property's payment interface. You can configure the following payment processors:

Configure MerchantLink payment processor

  1. Select one of the two statuses:

    1. Active (default) if the payment interface is currently in use.

    2. Inactive if the payment interface is no longer in use. 
      If a payment processor is made inactive when pre-paid rate plan functionality is enabled, both real-time and pre-paid transactions are no longer processed.

  2. Populate necessary fields:

    1. Enforce Debit Card Recognition checkbox

      1.  Click the checkbox to enable this function.

      2.  Leave the checkbox blank to not use or disable this function.

    2. Max Auth Days

    3. Payment Processor

    4. Company Code

    5. Site Code

    6. Merchant Id

    7. API Username

    8. API Password

    9. External Token Provider

    10. Terminal Url

    11. Enter Device Name

    12. Enter Lane

    13. ClientMAC

  3. Click the checkbox to Set Default.

  4. Select the Automatically settle payment processor batch during night audit checkbox.

  5. Click Save to save settings.

 

Configure Shift4 payment processor

  1. Select one of the two statuses:

    1. Active (default) if the payment interface is currently in use.

    2. Inactive if the payment interface is no longer in use.
      If a payment processor is made inactive when pre-paid rate plan functionality is enabled, both real-time and pre-paid transactions are no longer processed.

  2. Populate necessary fields:

    1. Enforce Debit Card Recognition checkbox

      1.  Click the checkbox to enable this function.

      2.  Leave the checkbox blank to not use or disable this function.

    2. Max Auth Days

    3. Payment Processor

    4. Generate Access Token button

    5. Global Time in Seconds

    6. Prevent Transactions with Invalid AVS checkbox

  3. Select Add UTG to input the UTG ID and UTG URL fields.

    1. Select Add Device to input the Device Name and API Terminal ID fields.

    2. Click the checkbox to Set Default.

  4. Select the Automatically settle payment processor batch during night audit checkbox.

  5. Click Save

 

Configure Elavon payment interface

  1. Select one of the two statuses:

    1. Active (default) if the payment interface is currently in use.

    2. Inactive if the payment interface is no longer in use.
      If a payment processor is made inactive when pre-paid rate plan functionality is enabled, both real-time and pre-paid transactions are no longer processed.

  2. Populate necessary fields:

    1. Enforce Debit Card Recognition checkbox

      1.  Click the checkbox to enable this function.

      2.  Leave the checkbox blank to not use or disable this function.

    2. Max Auth Days

    3. Payment Processor 

      1.  Click the Enable digital signature capture for registration card checkbox to enable PIN pad signature. Available only for the Elavon payment processor.

    4. Chain Code

    5. Location ID

    6. Terminal ID

Configure bridge(s)

  1. Click Add Bridge to configure your Elavon bridge and device service.

  2. Enter the bridge name in the Bridge ID field, and enter the address in the Bridge URL field.

  3. Click Add Device to add the PIN pad connection.

  4. Enter the device name in the Device Name field.

  5. Enter the device’s IP address in the Device URL field.

  6. Click the checkbox to Set Default.

Note: If Enable digital signature capture for registration card is enabled, the terminal for signature capture populates from this default Device field.

  1. Click Save to save settings, or click Discard Changes to exit without saving updates.

Note: If Enable digital signature capture for registration card is enabled, the PIN pad displays the reservation details (last and first name of guest, room type, stay amount, and stay dates), Hotel Disclaimer, Long Disclaimer, Corporate Disclaimer, and the Signature field. If there is no data entered for any of the disclaimers (Setup → Property Hub Configuration → Property Settings → Hotel Forms - Registration Card), the details for that disclaimer do not display on the PIN pad screen. 

Software setup

To set up a credit card PIN pad device to your hotel’s workstation, you need to download and install the Microsoft .NET Framework before configuring the Elavon Bridge setup. Consult your system administrator for more information about the system requirements.

Download the Elavon Bridge service from Setup → Property Hub Configuration → Interface Settings  Payment Interface – Software Setup. Click the drop-down caret in the Software Setup section to view the latest version of Elavon Bridge available for download.
