Room Information

The Room Information section allows you to assign room numbers and room types from the Guest Stay Record page. You can also add room requests from the guest.

Room number

The Room No section displays the currently assigned room, the housekeeping status, and assigned attendant.

Note: If Night Audit has concluded, the housekeeping status is set to dirty. 

Assign room

  1. Click Assign Room.

  2. Highlight a room.

  3. Click Select to assign the room to the reservation, or click Search Other Type to search for a different type of room. You can also select from the View By and Sort By drop-downs to filter the rooms. 

Note: Click Reset to Default to clear your filters.

  1. At the Is room clean? modal, click one of the following:

    1. Cancel - Closes the modal and does not change the room.

    2. No, Dirty - The previously assigned room changes to a dirty room status, and the new room is assigned.

    3. Yes, Clean - The previously assigned room remains in a clean room status, and the new room is assigned. 

  2. Click Save.

Select room number

If a room is already assigned:

  1. Click Edit.

  2. Select a room from the list.

  3. Click Select to save selection as new room, or click Search Other Type to search for a different type of room.

Room history log

To view the Room History Log:

  1. Click the blue room number hyperlink in the Room No section. The Room Number window displays.

Note: The Room Status section displays information regarding the housekeeping, occupancy, and OOO/OOI statuses. You can also view the assigned attendants and any notes they made in this section. 

  1. Select the Attendant Assignment tab from the Change History Log section to view the room's attendant history for the last 5, 10, or 30 days. 

  2. Select the Room Assignment tab to view the room history for the last 5, 10, or 30 days.

 

Room type

To edit the room type:

  1. Click Edit.

  2. Select the new room type from the list, or search for a specific room type. 

  1. Click Select to assign the new room type.

If your property has the Restrict in Property Hub access point assigned in SynXis CRS, you can upgrade the room type at no additional cost similar to loyalty member reservations. 

  1. Click Edit.

  2. From the Upgrade tab, select the new room type.

  3. From the Select Room Number section:

    1. Select or search for the room number; OR

    2. Select Assign Later

  4. Enter the reason for the override in the Reason drop-down, and if needed, a short description of the change in the Description box.

  5. Click the Upgrade button to apply the upgrade. 

Note: If you do not have user permission to the SynXis CRS Allow Front Office Overrides access point, manager approval is required to approve the upgrade. 

 

Room request

To add a room request:

  1. Click Add.

  2. Select up to 10 room requests.

  3. Click Save to exit, or click Cancel to exit without saving.
